Post-Launch Update!

So, Ash II has been out for a few days. The critical reception has been fairly positive, but mixed. Critical feedback has highlighted two significant issues: a balance flaw (the game is far, far too easy) and a music skipping bug during scene transitions. We submitted a patch to Apple prior to the game's release that solves these problems, but unfortunately, the update hasn't been approved yet. We're sorry; we know these issues are frustrating and we hope they're resolved soon. :)

See complete patch notes after the break, and a note about the delivery of remaining chapters.

Patch Notes for Version 1.0.2

  1. Difficulty now scales appropriately after the Ruined Temple. Bosses in particular are much more difficult than they used to be.
  2. Music no longer skips and stutters during scene transitions.
  3. Large framerate improvements on tilemap for all devices (an error in enemy pathing code was causing significant slowdown in dungeons).
  4. GameCenter Achievement Syncing should proc appropriately.

On a more general note, we're hammering out a plan for delivery of the remaining chapters now. My personal goal in this is to be as communicative as possible with you all during this time: as long as you all know what our internal and external deadlines are, you can rest easy knowing that we have more content coming your way. There are 5 more chapters in the Ash II saga, and SRRN fully intends on supporting the game to its (very epic) conclusion. Watch our site, because we will be updating it regularly to let you guys know what's going on.

Thanks, and happy playing!
